В 1878 году в Москве был основан знаменитый парк Сокольники. Площадь парка составляет пятьсот семнадцать гектаров. В шестнадцатом — семнадцатом веках на месте сегодняшнего парка проходили царские соколиные охоты, отсюда и название парка. В этот период на месте парка был лес, где охотился царь Иван Грозный.
In 1878 in Moscow a well-known park Sokolniki was founded. The area of the park is five hundred seventeen hectares. In the sixteenth — seventeenth centuries on the place of today's park took place an imperial falconry, fr om here comes the name of the park. During this period on the place of the park there was a wood where the tsar Ivan the Terrible hunted.
