Таймырский полуостров - это полуостров в России, который расположен между Енисейским заливом Карского моря и Хатангским заливом моря Лаптевых. Это крупнейший полуостров России. В 1948 году неподалёку на Таймырском полуострове был найден скелет шерстистого мамонта, возраст которого составляет около одиннадцати тысяч с половиной лет. Находка получила название «Таймырский мамонт».
Taimyr peninsula is a peninsula in Russia which is located between the Yenisei Gulf Kara Sea and Khatanga Bay of the Laptev Sea. It is the largest peninsula of Russia. In 1948 nearby on the Taimyr peninsula the skeleton of a woolly mammoth which age makes about eleven thousand and a half years was found. The find has received the name of "Taimyr Mammoth".
